Hi Everyone,

The blog will be somewhat different this semester. I am teaching 4 courses, so you will want to pay careful attention to what corresponds to your class/section. For example, 1441-002, 1441-003, 1442-001, 2313-001.

For now, all of you can enjoy an oldie but goodie:

Here is a pretty sweet video/song from 1969. This style of music was all the rage in Germany during the 50’s and 60’s- “Schlagermusik”.

The singer is France Gall, a French popstar who also sang in German.

The song is about the man she wants to find- he should look a little like Goethe and little like Bonaparte.

Today you will sign up for the time of your oral exam. If you miss class you are responsible to contact me to find an available slot.

There will be NO make up oral exams without proper documentation.

Nach dem Weg fragen- Wie kommst du zur Uni? Wie gehst du von zu Hause nach dem Supermarkt? dem Kino?

Ferien- Wo warst du in deinem letzen Urlaub? Was hast du dort gemacht? Welche Länder oder Städte sind für dich beliebte Reiseziele? Was mögen Touristen an deinem Land?

Krankheit, Unfälle- Was machst du, wenn du krank bist? Was war deine letzte Krankheit? Hattest du schon mal einen Unfall? Warst du mal im Krankenhaus?

Morgenroutine- Was machst du morgens? Beschreib deine Morgenroutine.

Liebe/Ehe/Familie- Bist du verheiratet? Willst du heiraten? Wie soll dein Partner/deine Partnerin sein? Welche Eigenschaften soll ein guter Vater oder eine gute Mutter haben?
