Dual Credit for High School Juniors/Seniors

1. Open to high school Juniors or Seniors
2. Must complete ONE of the following:
a. An SAT I score of at least 1070 (Critical Reading + Math) with scores of at least 500 in both Math and Critical Reading.
b. An ACT composite score of at least 23 with scores of at least 19 in both Math and English.
c. TAKS scores of at least 2200 in both Math and English/language arts and a TAKS Essay score of at least 3.
OR
d. ACCUPLACER offered by The College Board.
e. Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) offered by National Evaluation Systems, Inc.
f. ASSET or COMPASS offered by ACT.
3. Cost $50 per credit hour ($200 for 1441, 1442, $150 for 2313, 2314 each) ($150 per three-hour course). Books and Parking are extra.
4. Must apply and submit:
a. UT Arlington Application for Admission (see website)
b. Official high school transcript (including PSAT or SAT, and TAKS scores)
c. Application Fee: $35.00 (payable to UT Arlington)
d. Early Admissions Agreement and the Course Selection form (see website)
5. Application Deadlines
Priority deadline: April 15, 2011
Final deadline: August 1, 2011*
Classes begin: August 25, 2011
Final Exam: December 10 – 16, 2011
