Here’s the agenda from today’s meeting:

Halloween

-Halloween décor

-decorate front office

-Costumes

-use your best judgment

-no pajamas, no jeans

Birthdays

-if a birthday is on a lunch hour then you must take your lunch hour

-celebrate birthdays once per month for everyone so no one gets left out

Bring back STAR Awards

-We discussed appointing a committee to review the nominations. We plan to have the first awards ceremony in February 2013

SIC Form

-new draft for S.I.C. form

News

-Policy for New Hire packet is being created

-this is being created by the Dean’s office

-there will be one for faculty & one for staff

Tricks and Treats

-anyone that has any useful tricks can email me the “how to” and we will post in the new Staff Blog for all to see

Faculty/Staff Luncheon December

-Volunteers for Sharolyn Dihigo

Unnecessary since it will be assigned by dept

Staff Nominations for Outstanding Employee

-nominations due by Nov. 2^nd

*Award categories are:

(1) Professional, para-professional, and technical

(2) Administrative support

(3) Service and maintenance

(4) Administrative and professional

(5) Team with a maximum of 10 members

Homecoming 5K Nursing Run/Walk Team

-November 17^th, 9am

-Early registration ends November 5^th, late registration through November 14^th
