Emergency Electrical Generator Testing – Friday, December 4th

Facilities Management will be testing the emergency electrical generators serving the following buildings on Friday, December 4th, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.:

Central Library

College Park Center

College Park Central & South Parking Garages

Life Science Building

Nanofab Building

Science Hall

The Heights on Pecan Apartments

This testing will only affect the electrical services tied to each building’s generator, not the entire building.  There will be a slight “blip” lasting approximately one half of a second as the electrical service transfers to the generator and another as it is transferred back to the normal building service.  It is recommended you keep computer work in progress saved during this timeframe to prevent any possible data loss.  Please let your faculty and staff members know as necessary.

Due to the end of the semester, research projects coming to an end, and finals week December 14-18, all generator testings for the following buildings will be cancelled and will resume testing in January.
