Life Science Building Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Preventive Maintenance

In order to complete preventive maintenance and clean coils in the Life Science Building’s air handling units, the shutdown of these units will be required.  The Office of Facilities Management is scheduling these shutdowns during the Holiday Break.  Various air handling units will be affected from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. each day on Wednesday, December 28th; Thursday, December 29th; and Friday, December 30th.  The shutdown of these units will be staggered so they are not all non-operational at the same time.  This should allow the cooling and heating from the remaining operating units in the building to keep the temperatures relatively comfortable during these three days, especially with the shutdowns taking place between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. only.  No air handling units serving the 5th Floor Animal Wing will be shutdown.

Please let your fellow faculty and staff members know as necessary.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your cooperation.  If you have any questions, concerns, or special requirements during this time frame, please contact either Scott Willis at wwillis@uta.edu or Bill Cheek at billc@uta.edu .
