Emergency Electrical Generator Testing – Friday, March 11th

Facilities Management will be testing the emergency electrical generators serving the following buildings on Friday, March 11th, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.:

College Park Center

College Park Center & South Parking Garages

Maverick Activities Center

Texas Hall

The Heights on Pecan Apartments

University Center

This testing will only affect the electrical services tied to each building’s generator, not the entire building.  There will be a slight “blip” lasting approximately one half of a second as the electrical service transfers to the generator and another as it is transferred back to the normal building service.  It is recommended you keep computer work in progress saved during this timeframe to prevent any possible data loss.  Please let your faculty and staff members know as necessary.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your cooperation.

University Center Food Court Area

The air handling unit serving the Plaza Food Court at the University Center will be shut down for modifications beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11th, until Sunday, March 20th (Spring Break Week).  This will only affect the air conditioning and heating serving the Plaza Food Court.  The other air handling units in the building will still be operational, so this shouldn’t cause any major issues.   Please let your fellow staff members know as necessary.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your cooperation.
