Just south of College Park Center is The Green at College Park, an 9-acre oasis for students, neighbors, and friends to gather and relax. The Green connects to the city’s Center Street Trail system and is part of an international pilot project devoted to sustainable landscape design, construction, and maintenance.  The primary function is as a sustainable rain garden system and uses plants native to North Central Texas in the waterways.  Native plants were selected because of their ability to thrive in drought and flood conditions.
