Hi everyone. This is a repost of some useful info:
I just thought it would be a good idea to drop a line here for a couple of reminders.
- Registration begins October 25, 2010. For INTS classes, students must be on the permission list(s) for the required INTS courses; INTS 2301, INTS 4301, INTS 4391, and INTS 4395.
To make this happen, just send your Advisor an email. In the email, please include your 10-digit MavID (1000XXXXXX) along with any INTS class you wish to take.
- Registration dates vary depending on your status and number of credit hours. To verify your date, log-in to MyMav and look on the right side under “Enrollment Dates”. Look for the yellow arrow in this pic:

- For spring graduates, be sure to set an appointment to finalize your degree plan NOW. If you don’t have this done, you WILL NOT GRADUATE.
- APPLY TO GRADUATE!!!
If you have not applied for graduation yet, the GRADUATION APPLICATION is still available. You will be able to access it until October 8, 2010.
After October 8, 2010, the GRADUATION APPLICATION will not be available for Fall Graduation. All applicants will only be able to apply for Spring 2011 graduation.
If you plan to graduation in December 2010 and have not applied to graduate yet, do so today!

Just an FYI for INTS students:
Throughout the semester we send messages and important information to current INTS students via INTS-L, the Interdisciplinary Studies Listserv.
The list of INTS students for the Fall 2010 semester will not be final until Census on September 13, 2010. After that date students will begin receiving important information via email.
Until then we will only use the INTS Advising Blog for these updates.
This message is of special importance to Interdisciplinary Studies students taking/needing INTS 4391 (Capstone) in fall to graduate.
Many of you have noticed a 4th section of INTS 4391 on the fall schedule (section 010). To this point, this section has not been available for enrollment.
Now INTS 4391.010, taught by INTS Director Dr. Stuart Henry, is open for eligible students!
Here is why section 010 is different: It is completely online.
If you are interested in enrolling in INTS 4391.010, here’s what needs to happen:
• You must meet the prerequisites.
• Your degree plan must be finalized.
• You must be eligible for fall 2010 graduation.
• You must contact your Advisor for permission to enroll.
Enrollment in this class is capped at 25 students, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are interested in this new section of INTS 4391, contact your Advisor today.
This message is of special importance to students who intend to graduate in AUGUST 2010. The deadline for submitting your summer graduation application is Tuesday, June 8 2010.
The fee is $30, charged to your student account.
The application can be accessed via the registrar’s page at http://www3.uta.edu/registrar/graduation.asp
Please complete the graduation application ASAP. Completing this is required for graduation. Without an application on file you will not graduate!
Also, there are no commencement ceremonies held during the summer. If you wish to participate in a ceremony please notify your advisor that you would like to walk in the December 2010 Commencement Ceremony. We maintain a list of students doing this, so as to ensure you have tickets for family and friends.

Good morning.
We hope everyone’s semester is going well.
This is a friendly advising reminder that the last day to drop classes is Friday, April 2 2010, and drops cannot be processed after 5 pm.
If you need to drop one or more classes, please come to our offices and complete the drop form. Once we have that, an Advisor can process it quickly. Please do not wait until the last minute. If you want to be sure the drop gets processed, get the drop form to us by noon on Friday, April 2 2010.
Also, don’t forget to get in touch with your Advisor about clearance for summer and fall semesters. Registration and enrollment begins next week!
This message is especially important for students currently enrolled in INTS 2301 and INTS 4301.
Registration for summer and fall terms begin in April. As usual, all INTS courses (INTS 2301, 4301, 4391) require permission to enroll.
Specifically regarding INTS 4391: prior to enrolling in INTS 4391, your degree plan must be finalized with your Advisor.
Finalizing means your degree plan has been fully audited by your Advisor, reviewed by you and signed by you, your Advisor, and the Director. A finalized degree plan accounts for all classes, including those you intend to take, to fulfill your degree.
Finalizing is very easy for you to do: simply make an appointment with your Advisor and tell them you would like to finalize your degree plan.
If you plan to graduate in August 2010 or December 2010, it is very important that your degree plan be finalized soon.
Right now our schedules are relatively flexible. As April approaches, we will be busier with more students, so wait times will be longer.
Please schedule an appointment soon to finalize your degree plan, and be ready to enroll for summer and fall!
Regards,
JR

As you may remember, the deadline to submit your graduation application was February 1.
The Office of Records has continued to accept late applications (and a $50 late fee) to this point.
It is important for you to know that they will continue to accept late applications until Monday, March 1 2010.

If you have not applied to graduate yet, please do so before March 1.
