This Sunday, Hollywood rolls out big red for the night of the stars.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards or “The Oscars” will be handed out to the best of film in the following categories: Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Makeup & Style, Best Music Best Original Screenplay, Best Animated Movie and more.

Show begins at 6P on ABC, preshow on all other networks will begin about 5P (check listings).

Computer labs B & C will be closed 12:45P to 2:30P for testing on Tuesday on Monday, March 3. The details are listed below:

Computer Lab A will be open for general use. Please remain quiet during the test. If you will be taking the test, please leave all belongings in your car, locker or in the classroom before arriving to the test.

Tonight, The UTA Mens basketball team will face off against conference opponents Georgia State Panthers.

In their final push before the Sun Belt Conference Tournament The Mavericks (7-8 Sunbelt/12-15 overall) challenge the conference leading panthers (14-1 sunbelt/21-7 overall).

The game will be at College Park Center and will begin at 7:30P (doors open at 6:30P)

If you are in the area, please be aware of pedestrian traffic in the CPC district.

Cowboys/AT&T stadium will play host to a Brazil 2014 Friendly Match between Mexico & Ecuador.

Mexico will be playing 1 of 3 warmup games in the United States as they prepare for their trip to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. The will be facing Ecuador who will also be preparing for their trip to Brazil to take on the world. This will be the 20th meeting between the 2 teams with Mexico having a 12-2-5 advantage.

Saturday will see Big Trucks on Big Wheels as the Monster jam invades Cowboys/AT&T stadium.

The event begins at 7P.

The Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair is the oldest continually operating regional fair of its kind in the state of Texas. It’s also the biggest in the region. Students from 10 counties (Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise) participate in an effort to advance the study of science, mathematics, and engineering statewide.

FWRSEF Schedule:

12:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Project setup for all grades (Divisions I & II)

9:00 AM to 10:00 AM – Closed-Door Judging

10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Division I students (grades 9–12) demonstrate their projects to the judges (mandatory).
Division II students (grades 6–8) demonstrate their projects to the judges (optional).

11:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Science fair participants may participate in “UTA Science and Engineering Fun”activities provided by UTA. Prior registration required! Contact fair director for detailed information.

3:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Public viewing, science show, and student activities
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM – Awards Ceremony
8:30 PM to 9:00 PM – Public viewing and teardown
9:00 PM – Exhibit hall closes. All projects must be removed by contestants or trusted parties by this time. Custodial services will dispose of unattended items.

The art of Martial Fists, Martial Combat, Martial Arts,will be on display at the CPC. plan to attend the Legacy Fighting Championship on tonight.

The event will also be carried live on ASX TV. If you are coming to the event, be aware of foot traffic before, during and after the event.

The Mens basketball team will be in action as they face one of thier I-35 Rivals and conference foes, The Texas State Bobcats. The game will begin @ 7:30 and will follow the Lady Mavericks gave v. the Lady Bobcats.

The AMA Super Cross will be @ Cowboys/AT&T stadium tomorrow, February 15. The event begins @ 7P.

Get special passes to enjoy the Pit Area and see the cycles up close and personal.

Be aware of following street and lane closings around the stadium and also lane direction changes for traffic before, during and after the game. The following roads will be affected during the game: Randol Mill, Collins, Abram, Road To Six Flags, Sanford, Rogers St/Cowboys Way, Legends Parkway, Nolan Ryan Expressway and Division.
