The Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair is the oldest continually operating regional fair of its kind in the state of Texas. It’s also the biggest in the region. Students from 10 counties (Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise) participate in an effort to advance the study of science, mathematics, and engineering statewide.

FWRSEF Schedule:

Sunday:
12:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Project setup for all grades (Divisions I & II)

Monday:
9:00 AM to 10:00 AM – Closed-Door Judging

10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Division I students (grades 9–12) demonstrate their projects to the judges (mandatory).
Division II students (grades 6–8) demonstrate their projects to the judges (optional).

11:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Science fair participants may participate in “UTA Science and Engineering Fun”activities provided by UTA. Prior registration required! Contact fair director for detailed information.

3:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Public viewing, science show, and student activities
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM – Awards Ceremony
8:30 PM to 9:00 PM – Public viewing and teardown
9:00 PM – Exhibit hall closes. All projects must be removed by contestants or trusted parties by this time. Custodial services will dispose of unattended items.

Tonight:
The art of Martial Fists, Martial Combat, Martial Arts,will be on display at the CPC. plan to attend the Legacy Fighting Championship on tonight.

The event will also be carried live on ASX TV. If you are coming to the event, be aware of foot traffic before, during and after the event.

The Mens basketball team will be in action as they face one of thier I-35 Rivals and conference foes, The Texas State Bobcats. The game will begin @ 7:30 and will follow the Lady Mavericks gave v. the Lady Bobcats.

Be aware of foot traffic in and around the CPC district before, during and after the game.

Tomorrow, the Lady Mavericks will be in action against conference and state rival Texas State Bobcats. The game will be at College Park Center and will begin at 5P (doors open at 4P)

The AMA Super Cross will be @ Cowboys/AT&T stadium tomorrow, February 15. The event begins @ 7P.

Get special passes to enjoy the Pit Area and see the cycles up close and personal.

Be aware of following street and lane closings around the stadium and also lane direction changes for traffic before, during and after the game. The following roads will be affected during the game: Randol Mill, Collins, Abram, Road To Six Flags, Sanford, Rogers St/Cowboys Way, Legends Parkway, Nolan Ryan Expressway and Division.

Be Aware of Foot Traffic for those that will be walking to the Motorcross

Computer Lab A will be open for general use. Please remain quiet during testing. If you will be taking the test, you will need to leave all belongings in your Classroom, Locker or Car. You will only need to bring a Pen/Pencil, MavID and calculator.

The Maverick Speaker Series Presents an evening with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Come have a Lecture and Q & A session with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN Medical Correspndent. He will be covering the Topic “Medicine & Media”.

A member of the Nursing Librarians will be in the LRC Monday – Wednesday 11A to 1P for your questions.

If you have issues about looking up articles, researching documents or general questions about how to reference a paper, Ask A Librarian. They will be stationed in the LRC Lobby Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until Spring Break.
