Dan Lepinski’s solar-powered shuttle trailer will make an appearance at The University of Texas at Arlington on Monday, February 18, 2013.

According to Lepinski’s 2010 photo essay, the solar shuttle is “a portable renewable energy resource providing solar electricity for events, education, and continuing power for first responders in times of emergency.”

The event, hosted by Dr. Yekang Ko and the School of Urban and Public Affairs, will include a presentation by Lepinski on solar power and the urban environment beginning at 3;00 pm in University Hall, room 104. The shuttle “tour will take place in lot F10, just south of University Hall, immediately following Lepinski’s presentation.

Both locations are indicated on the MAP with University Hall (UH) circled in red.

It goes on to say that “Dan was honored in 2011 by the State of Texas and the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association with a Special Achievement Award for Excellence and Accomplishments in the field of Solar Energy.”
