The day is finally here. Before I head to the airport I have to run a few errands. I have to go to the bank, pick up my prescription and lap top. After I finish running my errands then I can head to the airport. Even though I had only a few hours of sleep I am fully alert. I thought that I was going to be pretty excited the previous night which would have prevented me from getting any sleep. Unfortunately, because of my limited hours of sleep from earlier this week I was pretty tired. My father dropped me off about a hour and a half early. He meets my professors and some of the other students attending the trip. My father gave me some money and after that the group headed to security. The air service we flew on was KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. I have never flown with an international service. Therefore, I am curious to find out what type of service they will have in store. After waiting about forty minutes for them to finish prepping the plane the group finally boards the air craft. The first flight is about nine hours with an hour and a half wait in Amsterdam and the second flight is about two hours.
As I enter the air craft I notice all the flight attendance are wearing uniforms. I was told KLM is a good international service and by far it is true. While on the flight, we had snacks, lunch, breakfast, and a few beverages in between. Also, the flight had plenty of movies, music, and television shows to make time fly by. I enjoyed every bit of it. While flying I saw a whole day in a couple of hours. Let me explain. When we left Texas it was mid afternoon, after flying for a couple of hours it became night and a couple of hours later it was morning. We finally arrive in Amsterdam and for a second time we go through the security line and receive a stamp in our passport book. A couple of students had to print off their boarding passes before heading to the next flight. The second flight was about two hours and they served a light snack with a beverage.
