This won’t hit the 250 word mark, but I better write this down while I remember.
My current plan is to finish writing out a plot summary. Once a quick summary is written down, I will then figure out how many pages are needed to convey the whole story, and divide it out accordingly. After that, I’m debating on how to add graphics, whether to do simple sketches and scan them in, or to find images similar enough to what I am envisioning.
Once I am dissatisfied with what I have accomplished, I will rework the story to add more of the time theme. As I was told, I need to make it more noticeable and something that easily stands out. Perhaps I should change it? That might not be too bad, as I am still in the plotting stages.
Perhaps the denizens are immortal, but what if it was but a trap? And the pirates have now entered into alternate realities?? Oh wait that’s nothing about time…
But wait, what if rather than entering alternate realities, they are trapped within one person’s memories of regret?
The courageous pirates are thrust into the protagonist’s past, where his biggest regret was not being able to save his loved one’s life because of his cowardice.
They will watch everything unfold once, taking part as random passersby (passerby as a plural?), and suddenly everything rewinds, and they are playing through once more, but this time they attempt to change it.
Now that I think about it, it’s similar to that recent movie, source code. Except I have yet to watch that movie..
The story unfolds as events repeat itself, and they attempt to figure out why they are stuck in a loop. They will also see themselves, and wonder whether the other them are real or merely tricks.
