so if you are signed up for my zoology class in the summer I session, be sure to have a look at the syllabus. we are going to be flying, and you are going to need to do a lot of studying. this is not a watered down version of the course. it is the real deal. get ready. reading ahead is a good thing.
zoology test 2 is now graded and the final test scores with the curve are up on webct. by the way, there was a 12 point curve.
so. if you tried to contact me during spring break, you probably didn’t get a response. it is spring break. you should be taking a break. i certainly am.
snow day! i love snow. so, no classes tonight. we will deal with tomorrow tomorrow. i am thinking classes will be cancelled for friday, but i am not sure. as far as lab is concerned, we will deal with that next week.
for the record, irish moss is an algae, which may or may not be considered to be in the kingdom plantae. some place the algae in with the protista. at any rate, it is not a moss. and not, strictly speaking, a bryophyte.

okay guys, so the grades are done. i adjusted curves on tests, so your average might be higher than you thought. also, for zoology, i normalized the lab grades, so some of you have a higher lab grade than you thought. i’m sure there won’t be any complaints there. anyway, i will probably post them on webct tomorrow.
okay, so 1442 grades are done and up on webct. as far as zoology grades are concerned, i am still waiting for grades from one of the lab instructors. otherwise, they are ready to go. 1450 is done, but you will have to wait for them to be posted by the university. probably on wednesday.
the grades are posted for test 3 on webct. if you are trying to tally up your score, the scantron was worth 95%, and the written was worth 5%. so, take your scantron grade and multiply it by 0.95, then add the number of points you got on the written. i also gave a 10 point curve, so you can add that in. the average was 74 post curve.
okay guys, so the test scores are posted. they were quite a bit better this time. two natural As, one of them a 98. The average was about 70, so i went ahead and gave a 5 point curve.
