Well, it has been a month after my surgery and things are going very well. I was, in fact, surprised about the whole thing. I am feeling 100% better, have more energy, lost a bit more weight (hovering at about 190 for the last 4 weeks), sleeping better, don’t get tired as easily or short of breath. Just great. The only thing is that they had to shave my upper chest and it is itchy as the hair is growing back. And I am a bit sore where I have about a 3-inch incision and where the little critter was stuck in me.
I just thought that I’d bring everyone up to date about this.
I saw the doctor today (Friday, September 25, 2009) who is performing the surgery. First, he was impressed with the amount of research I had collected on Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. What he will be implanting is about the size of Zippo lighter. My surgery is Oct 15th (at 8:00 am; I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am and that is 3o minutes before my alarm normally goes off), I will be in the hospital until at least the 16th, and hopefully back at work the 19th, the following Monday.
That all I know right now.
