We the People…

March 21, 2012

Greetings everyone!  We hope everyone had a good spring break, and enjoyed the time off.  We have some upcoming meetings to tell you about.

Friday, March 23, 1200-1230, COBA 153:

In the spirit of the season, we’re doing a little bit of spring cleaning.  We’ve dusted off our files and discovered we needed to make some changes to our constitution.  It is really important that we get at least 20% of our members there on Friday.  We promise it won’t be dry.  We’ll have Old School Pizza, drinks, and baked goods.  If you’re not a member yet, it would be a great time to join up, and meet everyone.  Read the proposed constitution here.  Email us with questions.

Friday, March 23, 1230-1330, COBA 153:

We’ll be having a test review session for everyone Java I.  If you have any questions or need help with anything, stop by.  We should have plenty of food.

Friday, March 23, 1330-1500, COBA 154:

Join us for the second round of Dr. Nerur’s Python session.  If you missed out on the first one, this would be a great opportunity to jump in and see what it’s all about.  Again, there will be free food.

Wednesday, March 28, 1200-1300, COBA 609:

We’ve arranged for a representative from the IT consulting firm Sogeti to make a presentation for you guys.  Be there if you can.

Friday, March 30, 1200-1300, Room 609:

Our own Dr. Sikora will be giving a presentation on his field of research, business intelligence.  That is basically using the power of computing to get a leg up in the business environment over ones competitors.  Come by and see what it’s all about!

Not a member yet, but interested in these meetings?  Join up!  You can find details about joining here and sign up at the door.
