Power upgrade set for ERB network

The Office of Information Technology will install a new component in the power system for the Engineering Research Building that will interrupt the network in the ERB and the Wade Building from 6 p.m. Friday, May 24, until 2 a.m. Saturday, May 25.

The network outage will impact only these two locations. Power systems for the rest of the buildings are not affected.

Services housed in the Arlington Regional Data Center and network services for the rest of the campus will not be affected.

North bridge elevators out for summer

Elevators for the north bridge over Cooper Street will be out of service Monday, May 13-Aug. 5, for an upgrade. The elevators on the south bridge will be accessible during this time.

Steam outage planned May 13-15

The Thermal Energy Plant will shut down steam service to the campus Monday-Wednesday, May 13-15, to complete annual inspection and repairs.

Buildings served by the plant will be without hot water and steam during that time but will still have electrical power, air conditioning, and cold water service.

Library renovations close sixth floor

The sixth floor of the Central Library will close for renovations Monday, May 13-Friday, Aug. 2. The floor will be inaccessible during construction time.

During construction, the administration staff will move to Suite 516.  Special Collections will close Friday, May 10. The Special Collections staff will relocate to various parts of the library. Exhibits and other materials will not be available during this time.

The Center for Southwestern Studies will move to the History Department in University Hall.  Library staff will use Study Room 414A, which will not be available for the summer.
