Temporary Natural Gas Outage – Chemistry Research Building, Engineering Lab Building, Engineering Research Building, Geoscience Building, Life Science Building, Nedderman Hall, Science Hall, and the University Center

The current construction on campus, is going to require another natural gas outage for the following buildings:  Chemistry Research Building, Engineering Lab Building, Engineering Research Building, Geoscience Building, Life Science Building, Nedderman Hall, Science Hall, and the University Center.  Hopefully this will be the last natural gas outage required for this project.  We have scheduled this outage for Thursday, December 26th, to begin at 8:00 a.m. lasting no later than 1:00 p.m.

This outage will not affect heating or hot water service in these buildings.  It will only affect gas service to the labs, food service in the University Center, and the incinerator in Life Science.  Since the campus is closed there should be little, if any, impact.  It will also affect the emergency electrical generators at the Geoscience Building and Chemistry Research Building; in the unlikely event there is an electrical outage at this same time, the natural gas outage would be cancelled.
