After Friday, October 2 at 5 P.M., Cisco VPN will no longer be available to faculty, staff, or students. Anyone accessing UTA resources that requires a virtual private network will need to use Pulse Secure VPN. This new service includes the latest technology for creating a safe and encrypted connection over the internet. It ensures sensitive university and personal data is transmitted securely between your device and UTA systems.
Here are a few things you should know:
Cisco Users can begin using Pulse Secure VPN today by following the steps in the resource guide.
When logging into Pulse Secure VPN, users will be prompted to authenticate through Duo Multi-factor Authentication. Please visit the Multi-factor Authentication Resource Guide for additional setup instructions.
After installing Pulse Secure (VPN), it will automatically display the VPN login screen when starting your Mac or Windows device. Users can disable the automatic start-up option by following the steps located under “Additional Resources” in the Pulse Secure VPN Resource Guide
