Five years ago, Jeff Nyland, Chief Information Officer at UTA, started a project to revamp networks across campus, from the phone system to wireless access.

His vision to overhaul the system came from a desire to better support the growing student, faculty, and staff population across campus.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project’s timeline was accelerated in order to accommodate the increased need for wireless access.

Jeff spoke with InformationWeek about the project and the future of AI at UTA.
