Military and Veteran Services at the University of Texas Arlington (UTA) provides specialized programs and services to nearly 5,000 veterans, active military service members, selected reserves, family members, and ROTC cadets. We are here to ensure you and your family are given all the tools necessary to be successful in degree completion, gain experience to be career ready, and hopefully have a little fun along the way.

The UTA Veterans Educational Benefits Office is here to help you certify and begin receiving your VA Educational Benefits. Located in Davis Hall room 252, the knowledgeable staff is available to assist students with all chapters of the GI-Bill and the Texas Hazlewood ACT.
The VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) program aims to help Veterans, Service members, and their qualified dependents succeed and thrive through a coordinated delivery of on-campus benefits assistance and counseling, leading to completion of their education and preparing them to enter the labor market in viable careers.
UT Arlington Veterans Upward Bound is a free program for qualified veterans, designed to motivate and assist veterans in the development of academic and other requisite skills necessary for acceptance and success in a program of post-secondary education. The program provides assessment and enhancement of basic skills through counseling, mentoring, tutoring and academic instruction in the core subject areas of mathematics through pre-calculus, laboratory science, foreign language, composition and literature. The primary goal of the program is to increase the rate at which participants enroll in and complete post-secondary education programs.
The Mav Vets (Student Veterans of America Chapter) is a UTA student organization that provides veterans a place to build camaraderie; foster campus involvement, facilitate community outreach and serve as a communication conduit.
